With over 25 years' competition engine design experience at the highest levels of motorsport, and using the latest in 3D modelling software, we have the capability to design and develop single components or complete engine packages.

Our design personnel work in an 'open minds' environment in order to produce solutions which reflect the exact requirements of each project.

Through the use of the Rigid Body Kinematics and FEA extensions of the UG NX3 system, we ensure a seamless data exchange with the Analysis Department during the design processes.

Analysis is focused on motion, deflection and durability. This means using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Multi Body Dynamics (MBD) codes to investigate operating conditions, loads, flexure, stresses, strains, fatigue, heat transfer and temperature distributions, vibration and resonance, pretty much anything that affects engine operation and performance.

Extensive in-house facilities add refined working practices:

  • Lead times reduced by integrated and simultaneous design, analysis and manufacturing engineering.

  • Simulation software provides performance predictions for accurate definition of engine layout.

  • CAD models continuously analysed and optimised during the design process.

  • Stress analysis and CFD ensure 'right first time' design.

  • Components manufactured directly from CAD, reducing lead-times and errors.

  • Rapid prototyping to accelerate development.

  • Verification and scheduling software to maximise output

  • Quality control to official British industry standards for accuracy and consistency.

  • Dyno and rig testing.

  • Single components engineered, as well as complete systems and whole engines.

  • A 'one-stop shop': design, engineering,
manufacture, build, supply and support of new or re-engineered engines.
