rekord, ale i magickou hranici 1000 mil v hodině... - Už je to nějaký ten pátek, co se země naposledy zachvěla a vyvrhla na denní světlo nový rychlostní rekord. Konkrétně to bylo v roce 1997, kdy pilot britského královského letectva Andy Green hnal ThrustSSC až těsně za hranici rychlosti zvuku a překonal tak i tehdy 14 let starý rekord, který vytvořil Richard Noble na Thrust2. Tito dva, Green a Noble, opět spojí své síly a postav vozidlo, které by mělo překonat neskutečných 1000 mil v hodině, tedy přes 1600 km/h či Mach 1,4 (i rekord pro letadla v nízkých výškách je nižší!)...

Does the v12 pump fuel the rocket or does it only start the Jet? - "In the middle of the BLOODHOUND SSC is the MCT V12 800 bhp race engine which doubles as our APU delivering hydraulic power as needed, starting the EJ200 and of course pumping the High Test Peroxide (HTP) through to the Falcon rocket. The pump has to move a ton of HTP through to the rocket catalyst in 22 seconds and at 1200 psi."
